Did you know that April 5th marks National Self-Care Day in the U.S.? It’s a gentle reminder to pause, breathe, and prioritize yourself. While dedicating a day to self-care is a great idea, we believe taking time for yourself should be a regular part of life, not just a once a year thing.
National Self-Care Day was created to highlight the importance of nurturing our well-being whether it’s through relaxation, reflection, or simple, intentional actions that restore balance. In today’s busy world, it’s easy to forget to check in with ourselves.

Self-care looks different for everyone. For some, it’s finding stillness with a journal. For others, it’s engaging in something creative like flower arranging. And here’s a fun fact: flowers are actually good for your well-being! A Harvard study led by Dr. Nancy Etcoff found that just having flowers in your space can significantly boost your mood, reduce stress, and improve overall happiness. The simple act of being surrounded by fresh flowers is enough to lift your spirits and help you feel more grounded.

That’s why it’s so important to bring self-care into your daily practice to help you slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. Whether it’s journaling, meditating, arranging flowers, or doing some light yoga, small moments of mindfulness and creativity can go a long way in keeping you grounded and feeling good.

Self-care isn’t a “one-size-fits-all” thing. It's about finding what works for you and making it a part of your routine. To help you do that, we’re inviting you to join us on a new Guided Self-Care Journey, kicking off Sunday, April 6th. Let’s use National Self-Care Day as the start of a more consistent, ongoing practice of caring for yourself, whether that’s through creativity, rest, or simply taking time to breathe.
